This week we are focusing a lot on mental wellness and exercises, it’s only right to share some exercises that are guaranteed to reduce stress.

When you are exercising to reduce stress, not only do you have a healthy mind, you also have a healthy body.

Here are some of the exercises below;

Yoga, an excellent stress-relief exercise, involves a series of moving and stationary poses, or postures, combined with deep breathing.

For stress relief, do gentle yoga or yoga for beginners — popular “power yoga” classes may be too intense if your main goal is to ease stress.

Tai Chi

Originally developed for self-defense, tai chi has evolved into a graceful form of exercise that’s now used for stress reduction and a variety of other health conditions.

Tai chi can help build bone density, lower blood pressure, boost the immune system, and even ease symptoms of conditions like heart failure, arthritis, and fibromyalgia.

Pilates, a series of controlled movements and mat exercises. It is designed to build your strength, flexibility, and endurance — all of which make practicing Pilates, an anaerobic exercise, a great stress reliever.

Team Sports

Team sports is so important when it comes to stress relief, you are not only burning calories, you are also doing it around the people you are familiar with. So you have fun with it.

Exercising with friends or co-workers can also motivate you to push yourself a little harder in order to stay competitive.

Outdoor activities

Long-distance running, biking, and other outdoor activities provide a change of scenery and a dose of fresh air, both of which can help clear your mind, and relief you of stress.
